Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information ViralGenHub ("we", "us") collects when you connect a social media account to it, how we use that information, and how you can have it deleted.

1. What ViralGenHub is

ViralGenHub is a social media scheduling and publishing tool. Authorised team members connect social media accounts and pages they own or manage, then prepare posts that ViralGenHub publishes to those accounts at the chosen time.

2. Information we collect

When you connect a social media account

You sign in on the platform's own page (for example Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, YouTube or TikTok). We never see your password. The platform then gives us, with your permission:

• the account or page identifier, display name, username and profile picture;
• an access token (and, where the platform issues one, a refresh token) that lets ViralGenHub publish on your behalf;
• the list of pages or channels you chose to connect and the permissions you granted;
• basic performance figures for posts published through ViralGenHub (such as views, likes, comments and shares), where the platform provides them.

Content you publish

The text, images and videos that team members upload or schedule, and the date, time and destination of each post.

Team member accounts

For people who sign in to ViralGenHub itself: name, email address and a securely hashed password, plus standard server logs (IP address, browser type and time of request) kept for security.

3. How we use it

• To publish and schedule the posts that an authorised team member has prepared, to the accounts you connected.
• To show the performance of those posts inside ViralGenHub.
• To keep the service secure and to fix problems.

We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, share it with data brokers, read your private messages, or post anything that a team member has not prepared and scheduled.

4. Legal basis (UK GDPR)

We process connected-account data on the basis of your consent, which you give when you authorise ViralGenHub on the platform and can withdraw at any time. We process team member data and security logs on the basis of our legitimate interests in running a secure service.

5. Who we share it with

• The social platforms themselves, when we publish your content or fetch its performance figures.
• Our hosting and email providers, who store data or send sign-in emails for us and may only process it on our instructions.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

6. Google and YouTube data

ViralGenHub uses YouTube API Services. By connecting a YouTube channel you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's handling of your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy. You can revoke ViralGenHub's access at any time from your Google security settings.

ViralGenHub's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use Google user data only to upload and manage videos on the channels you connect and to show their statistics. We do not use it for advertising and do not transfer it to anyone else except as needed to provide that feature, to comply with the law, or with your explicit permission.

7. Meta (Facebook, Instagram, Threads) data

Data received from Meta is used only to publish to, and report on, the Pages and accounts you connect, in line with the Meta Platform Terms. To remove ViralGenHub's access, see our data deletion instructions.

8. How long we keep it

• Access tokens are kept only while an account stays connected. They are deleted when the account is disconnected or when you ask us to delete your data.
• Scheduled and published post records, with their performance figures, are kept while the account is connected and deleted within 30 days of disconnection or a deletion request.
• Security logs are kept for up to 90 days.

Posts that have already been published stay on the social platform until you delete them there. We cannot delete them for you once access has been removed.

9. Security

Data is stored on servers we control. All traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS), and access is limited to authorised people who need it to run the service.

10. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to how we use it, or to receive a copy of it. Email support@talkiru.com. We will reply within one month. If you are unhappy with our response you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

11. Children

ViralGenHub is not intended for anyone under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

12. Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be shown on this page before they take effect.
