Connect WordPress

ViralGenHub needs your site address, your WordPress username and an Application Password. This page shows where to get it.

The key page is on your own site: open yoursite.com/wp-admin/profile.php (use your site's address).

Before you start: Make sure this browser is signed in to the right account (your brand account, not a personal one) before you copy the key.

What you need

A WordPress site (version 5.6 or newer) served over HTTPS, and a user who can publish posts.

Steps

  1. Sign in to your site's wp-admin.
  2. Go to Users, then Profile, and scroll to Application Passwords.
  3. Type ViralGenHub as the name and click Add New Application Password.
  4. Copy the password WordPress shows. It appears only once.
  5. In ViralGenHub enter your site address (for example https://yourblog.com), your WordPress username, and the application password. Use the application password, not your login password.

Staying safe

An Application Password can be revoked on its own from the same Profile page without changing your login password. If you do not see the Application Passwords section, your site is not on HTTPS or a security plugin or host has turned the feature off.

What ViralGenHub stores

The details you enter are stored encrypted. They are used only to post and read basic account information for the channel you connected, and they are deleted when you disconnect the channel. More in the Privacy Policy.
