Connect DEV (dev.to)

ViralGenHub needs an API key from your DEV account. This page shows where to get it.

Open the key page

Before you start: Make sure this browser is signed in to the right account (your brand account, not a personal one) before you copy the key.

What you need

A DEV (dev.to) account and an API key.

Steps

  1. Open dev.to/settings/extensions while signed in.
  2. Scroll to DEV Community API Keys.
  3. In the description box type ViralGenHub.
  4. Click Generate API Key.
  5. Copy the key and paste it into the API key box in ViralGenHub, then click Connect.

Staying safe

The key can publish articles as you. Treat it like a password. If you stop using ViralGenHub, or the key leaks, remove it from the same DEV page and generate a new one.

What ViralGenHub stores

The details you enter are stored encrypted. They are used only to post and read basic account information for the channel you connected, and they are deleted when you disconnect the channel. More in the Privacy Policy.
